Is Phil Robertson a REAL Christian?

This morning as I was driving into work I heard something pretty disturbing: “Duck Dynasty star suspended for anti-gay remarks.”

REALLY??

Obviously, the news did not go on to tell the whole story, just that ‘Duck Dynasty’ star Phil Robertson had been indefinitely suspended from the A&E show. My curiosity was piqued.

As soon as I was able to look up the news article, I did. I heard a foxnews.com roundtable discussion on the matter and I was blown away at the ignorance of one of the commentators. “The fact that someone would equate the love I might have for another man with beastiality or a drunkard or adultery or something like this…certainly flies in the face of what it means to be Christian. What it means to be Christian is to treat others like you would want to be treated” (Direct quote from this video.)

Ill tell you why-because public shootings, especially in schools are highly visible. After observing a sports car speeding and veering into a median just north of Del Rio, a Val Verde County game warden pulled the car over. The female driver showed signs of intoxication, but refused all field sobriety tests. She was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and placed in the county jail. Case pending.

Snook harvest seasonal closure in Atlantic starts Dec. 15

A Turkey Creek man pleaded guilty to taking deer illegally on Dec. 13 in the 13th Judicial Court in Evangeline Parish.

Judge Tom Fusilier sentenced Corey S. Gautreaux, 25, to pay a $1,000 fine and $122.50 in court costs, revoked his hunting privileges for two years and to 30 days of jail, which will be suspended.

Stocking improves red drum fishing

The S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Marine Resources Division stocked approximately 100,000 red drum into a tributary, Chechessee River, of Port Royal Sound, near Beaufort on Dec. 10. Reward offered for information about suspicious panther death

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), National Park Service (NPS) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) are looking for help from the public with an investigation involving the suspected illegal take of a Florida panther that was recently found dead in the Turner River Unit of Big Cypress National Preserve in Collier County.

FWC identifies bear that injured Longwood woman

Today the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that DNA testing positively identified the bear responsible for the injuries sustained by Susan Chalfant of Longwood, Fla. on Dec. 2. The bear, a female, was captured on Dec. 9 along with two of her three cubs.
